Job Overview:

The Director of Restaurant Technology will lead technology operations for our various markets. This role will oversee a network of employees and suppliers, supporting diverse markets and managing technology operations to meet financial goals. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in a global environment and a solid background in restaurant technology, ideally within the QSR industry.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Global Team Development
  • Build and manage a network of employees and suppliers that support restaurant technology deployments, including help desks, break-fix suppliers, and deployment partners.
  • Develop and lead geographically dispersed teams focused on localization and maintenance of RBI POS software.
  • POS & Technology Support
  • Collaborate with RBI operations and digital teams to identify target markets and franchise zones for POS deployment.
  • Provide technology support for deploying consumer-facing applications across international markets.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams on the modernization and localization of the POS software.
  • Financial & Operational Management
  • Manage the P&L for POS operations in international markets, ensuring revenue meets or exceeds costs in each market.
  • Facilitate local testing of POS software before deployment, ensuring quality and compliance with market requirements.
  • Build a strategic pipeline for the adoption of RBI POS software across markets, planning for smooth rollouts and updates.
  • Technology Leadership
  • Ensure high-quality development and maintenance of the restaurant technology stack.
  • Implement modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and automated testing.
  • Apply knowledge of cloud computing and microservices to optimize technology operations.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience managing software development efforts, with 5+ years specific to POS software.
  • Previous experience in restaurant/QSR/retail/hospitality industry will be a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing geographically dispersed development teams.
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones and collaborate with diverse brands and functions.
  • Proficiency in modern software development practices, cloud computing, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of the restaurant and QSR industries.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
